A suite of high-tech surveillance units, known as ‘Sentinels’, are under development to incorporate a number of smart trapping devices for monitoring airborne spores & insects. The suite of Sentinels are equipped with power supply, climate sensors, telemetry & a control panel to remotely monitor & control the units. The units vary in size, power requirements, trap composition, cost and deployment method.
Records environmental data such as temperature, humidity and rainfall
Ideally suited to monitor for long-distance migratory insect flights
Near real-time monitoring technology of fungal spores under collaboration
High volume air samplers, specifically designed to collect airborne spores
To monitor localised insect dynamics
Sentinel 1 is the prototype mobile surveillance unit and requires 2-3 people to deploy with a separate solar array panel.
The dual axle, 2.5 tonne custom-built trailer features four different air samplers:
Records environmental data such as temperature, humidity and rainfall
Ideally suited to monitor for long-distance migratory insect flights
High volume air samplers, specifically designed to collect airborne spores
To monitor localised insect dynamics
Sentinel 2 is a revised prototype mobile surveillance unit and requires 1 person to deploy with an integrated solar array.
The single axle, 2 tonne custom-built trailer features three different air samplers:
Records environmental data such as temperature, humidity and rainfall
Ideally suited to monitor for long-distance migratory insect flights
To monitor localised insect dynamics
High volume air samplers, specifically designed to collect airborne spores
Sentinel 3 is a 1 tonne, skid-based mobile surveillance unit with an integrated solar array and requires 1 person to deploy and features three different air samplers:
Records environmental data such as temperature, humidity and rainfall
To monitor localised insect dynamics
High volume air samplers, specifically designed to collect airborne spores
Sentinel 4 is a 0.75 tonne, ute- or trailer-based mobile surveillance unit with an integrated solar array and requires 1 person to deploy and features two different air samplers:
Records environmental data such as temperature, humidity and rainfall
Ideally suited to monitor for long-distance migratory insect flights
To monitor localised insect dynamics
High volume air samplers, specifically designed to collect airborne spores
Sentinel 5 is a 1 tonne, skid-based mobile surveillance unit with an integrated solar array and requires 1 person to deploy and features three different air samplers:
Records environmental data such as temperature, humidity and rainfall
To monitor localised insect dynamics
High volume air samplers, specifically designed to collect airborne spores
Sentinel 6 is a ute- or trailer-based mobile surveillance unit with an integrated solar array and requires 1 person to deploy. Sentinel 6 trapping devices are modular resulting in flexible trap compositions that can be tailored to a specific industry’s needs. This unit will initially feature two onboard air samplers:
Records environmental data such as temperature, humidity and rainfall
Ideally suited to monitor for long-distance migratory insect flights
To monitor localised insect dynamics
High volume air samplers, specifically designed to collect airborne spores
Sentinel 7 is our first unit capable of performing spatial surveillance over a landscape using a combination of onboard and auxiliary air samplers.
Our onboard samplers include:
Our auxiliary air samplers, also known as ‘S-boxes’, are single devices based on our onboard samplers that include either a high volume air sampler for fungal spores, or suction traps for insects.
These devices are deployable across a landscape at different heights depending on the surveillance needs of an industry.
