Sentinel 4 completed a trial at Cobbledick Produce in Uraidla, Adelaide Hills.

The trial ran from 27/11/20 – 24/3/21, with a shutdown period from 24th – 30th of December, 2020. The site features a number of different vegetable crops, with cherries, strawberries and vineyards located nearby.

The sentinel unit features one two-metre insect suction trap and one spore suction trap, as well as an onboard weather station. This site also collects data for targets captured by lure-based traps. Priority pests and pathogens for grains, horticulture & wine were targeted for identification at this site.

Weather data is captured and presented in real-time (temperature, relative humidity & rainfall), while pest & pathogen data is uploaded as it becomes available (~2 week lag).

Insect data are presented as the total number of each target insect counted in collected samples from our 2m insect suction trap.

Spore data is presented as kilo copies of target DNA per sample from spore sampler.
