Sentinel 4 will monitor & report the presence of cereal and pulse pests & pathogens at this site near the Grains Innovation Park in Horsham, Victoria.

During this trial, we’ll be monitoring high-priority insect pests and pathogens for the grains industry.

We’ll also be screening our insect trap samples using a high-throughput metabarcoding technique which will enable us to screen for targets of biosecurity importance and learn more about the biodiversity of insect populations in the region. Results will be shared here and via our data dashboard.

Blackleg of canola (Leptosphaeria maculans)

Septoria tritici blotch (STB) (Zymoseptoria tritici)

Yellow leaf spot (Pyrenophora tritici-repentis)

Chocolate spot of fava bean (Botrytis fabae)

Botrytis grey mould (Botryitis cinerea)

Sclerotinia white rot (Sclerotinia minor &/ S. sclerotiorum)
